Dr. Jeff Riley began his dental career in Lynchburg after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV)-School of Dentistry in 1995 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.  He joined his father, Dr. William (Bill) Riley, in his private practice.  Prior to attending MCV, he graduated from Catawba College with a Bachelors degree in business.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Piedmont Dental Society, Lynchburg Dental Society, Advisory Board member of the E.C. Glass High School Dental Careers program, past president of the Lynchburg Dental Society, and an active volunteer for the Free Clinic of Central Virginia.

He is married to Cyndi, who is also the Practice Administrator.  She is a Registered Nurse and holds a BSN and MBA from Lynchburg College.  He has two wonderful teenage daughters, Taylor and Paige who are very active in E.C. Glass High School and travel volleyball as well as tennis.

In his spare time, Dr. Riley enjoys tennis, snow skiing, golfing and attending sporting events, especially those of his children.

Dr. David Riley, uncle to Dr. Jeff Riley, is a native of Lynchburg and graduated from E.C. Glass High School and Lynchburg College.  He did his post graduate work in Biology at the University of Richmond and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia-School of Dentistry.

He established a private practice in Rustburg, Virginia in 1980 where he practiced for 20 years.  He has since practiced dentistry in the Central Virginia area until he decided to join Riley Dental Associates of Central Virginia in December 2008.  He is an active volunteer for the Free Clinic of Central Virginia.

Dr. Riley has three children.  David Riley, Jr. of Lynchburg, Heather Riley Joseph of Midlothian, and a step-son William E. Calohan (Willie) of West Point, New York as well as one grandson, Ethan Joseph, of Midlothian.

In his spare time, Dr. Riley enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.

Dr. Hans Burg is a Board Certified Endodontist.  He holds a B.S. Degree (Chemistry) from the University of Florida and is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry.  He received his post graduate degree training in Endodontics at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and at Madigan General Hospital at Fort Lewis, Washington.

In addition, he holds a post doctorate Master of Science Degree (Oral Biology) from the George Washington University.  Dr. Burg is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and joined Dr. Jeffrey Riley’s practice in 2004.

He is happily married to Betty.  They have a son and daughter and are the proud grandparents of six.

Tracy Jefferson is a Registered Dental Hygienist who is State and National Board Certified.  She attended Rustburg High School, Central Virginia Community College and Virginia Western Community College Dental Hygiene Program.  She worked for Dr. David Riley from 1996-1999 and has been working for Dr. Jeff Riley since 1999.  She has also participated in the Blue Ridge Dental Hygiene Association.

She is married to William Jefferson, Jr. and has two children Caleb and Sydney.

In her spare time, she enjoys camping and outdoor activities.

Cathy Maggi is a Registered Dental Hygienist who is State and National Board Certified.  She attended Heritage High School, Central Virginia Community College and Virginia Western Community College Dental Hygiene Program.  She worked for Dr. David Riley from 1992-2001 and has been working for Dr. Jeff Riley since 2001.  She has also participated in the Blue Ridge Dental Hygiene Association.

She is married to Robert Maggi and has two children, Carter and Connor.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking, traveling to the beach and attending her children’s sporting events.

Cindy Tweedy, cousin to Dr. Jeff Riley and niece to Dr. Dave Riley, is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is State and National Board Certified and attended Rustburg High School, Central Virginia Community College and Virginia Western Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She has been a hygienist in the Lynchburg area since 1994 and has also participated in the Blue Ridge Dental Hygiene Association. Cindy is married to Scott Tweedy and they have two boys, Justin and Adam. In her spare time she enjoys drawing, painting, reading and anything outdoors.

Lynn Burks is a Registered Dental Hygienist who is State and National Board Certified. She grew up in Greenbrier Valley, West Virginia and has lived in the Lynchburg area since 1990. She attended Central Virginia Community College and Virginia Western Community College Dental Hygiene Program. She is a member of the Blue Ridge Dental Hygiene Association. Lynn is married to Darryl Burks. She has two daughters, Amanda and Katherine, one grandson, Cole and two grand-dogs! Lynn enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling, kayaking and hiking with her husband along with spending time with her family.

Becky Bergin is a Dental Assistant.  She graduated from Gibbs Senior High School in St. Petersburg, Florida.  She graduated from St. Petersburg Vocational Technical Institute for dental assisting in 1981.  She has past experience in a pediatric dental office, a large Florida Dental Center and began working with Dr. Jeffrey Riley in 2004.

She has vast experience in office personnel training in OSHA coordination, training dental assistants, and business planning with the supervisors.

She has been married to Mike Bergin for 20 years, and they have 6 children.  In her spare time, she is a major baseball enthusiast and enjoys attending various levels of the game, traveling and supporting her church.

Sara Hudson is a Dental Assistant. She graduated from Staunton River High School in Moneta and has achieved a diploma in Medical and Dental Office Assisting from Ashworth College, as well as a certificate in Dental Radiation Safety and Hygiene. Sara currently resides in Lynchburg. In her spare time, she enjoys movies, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.

Vivian Mitchell is a Dental Assistant. She was 13 years of experience in the dental field as an assistant and in the business office. Vivian resides in Concord with her husband, Brian and daughter, Paula. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and entertaining her family and friends in their home.

Jena White is a Dental Assistant. She graduated from Liberty Christian Academy and attended Liberty University for two years. She has three years experience in the dental field and is certified in Dental Radiation and Hygiene. Jena would like to pursue a career as a Dental Hygienist in the future. In her spare time, Jena enjoys spending time with her three daughters Gracie, Addison and Kynsley.

Cathy Delahanty is the Office Coordinator.  She has been in the dental field for many years and her extensive experience compasses most aspects of dentistry.  Cathy graduated from the Buffalo Technological School dental assisting program and enhances her education by attending continuing education classes.  She enjoys her job and loves working in the field of dentistry.

She relocated to Lynchburg from upstate New York in 2001 with her husband, Tim.  They spend time with their grandchildren, gardening, traveling, sailing and cooking.

Bridget Hubble-Carson is the Scheduling Coordinator.  She has experience as a dental assistant and has been in the dental field for eighteen years.  She grew up in Southern California where she graduated from Hilltop High School and the San Diego Regional Occupational Program for dental assisting.

Bridget and her family relocated to Lynchburg in 1998.  They bought in a home in the downtown historic district and enjoy working on their home.  In her spare time, she also enjoys cycling, watching football, attending her daughter’s soccer games and mission trips with her church.

She is married to Patrick and has one daughter, Meagan.

Cyndi Riley, wife of Dr. Jeff Riley, is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Business Administration from Lynchburg College.  She was employed by Centra Health for 20 years in various nursing and administrative roles.  She left Centra Health in 1998 to assist Jeff with his private practice and to have more flexibility in parenting their two daughters, Taylor and Paige.

In her spare time, she enjoys community volunteer activities, physical fitness, cycling, skiing, tennis, gardening, attending sporting events, and spending time with her family.
